Chrisagis Brothers Good News Network tv series. This episode taught on Safety Program 1.

This was a personal favorite of the brothers themselves. The show won telly awards for best children’s programming, best educational show, and most entertaining.

This episode was from the first year of the Good News Network and really set the standard for the brothers’ muppet show like variety series. The Good News Network ran for 4 years and always had a strong character building message. The show was more entertaining then Seasame Street so families enjoyed watching it… The series ended its run but then branched off into Variety specials that were more Christian in nature.

The Chrisagis Brothers (Brian & Shawn) are licensed ministers and founders of the Chrisagis Brothers Ministries and the popular Good News Gang children’s ministry, are still sharing their powerful testimony and are ministering fulltime to all ages at churches, conferences, and seminars worldwide.

Sixteen of the brothers’ Good News Gang characters have been manufactured as dolls, each with a different story teaching a character building skill. In 2006 the twins released a children’s book entitled “Mad-Cap Kingdom” with 14 stories along with two new toy lines, The Smokey Mountain Pals and The Rockhounds. During the summer of 2007 the brothers branched out into another media – radio with their own hour long segment on WKKX, AM1600 “Chrisagis Mania”. The radio show and the radio station hit number one in the entire area. In late summer the twins were asked to help co-host an internet radio show Humbleoradio with Marty Daniels and the show became a success.

Presently the Brothers are starring in their own weekly Variety Series entitled “The Chrisagis Brothers & Friends”. The Variety Show is cutting edge and is a mix of Carol Burnett, Saturday Night Live, & Mike Douglas. It is a landmark in ground breaking shows for Christian TV and the twins get to show their comical side. They are also working on bringing their talk radio show to TV in 2009.

The twins have appeared on TV, radio, and in Christian magazines all over the world. The Good News Gang Variety Series, which they wrote for the Sky-Angel TV Network, is currently running on KTV, the largest Christian Children’s Network in the world. They hosted and wrote for Candid Camera, and have worked with several well-known celebrities from Hollywood such as Erik Estrada, Jack Scalia, Jennifer O’Neill, Lee Horsley, Lucky Vanous, Suzanne Summers, Peter Funt, Fred Travalena, Charles Wahlheim, Brett Baxter Clark, Kathy Troccoli, and Jo Ann Pflug to name a few.

“The Chrisagis Brothers are leading the way in good, clean entertainment for the entire family.” —Kathleen Johnson, Vice President of Programming, SKY-ANGEL Network

http://www.timetoplaymag.com – recently teamed up with Duracell to find out what todays kids want to be when they grow up. We surveyed 507 children ages 8-12 throughout the U.S. Their answers werent terribly surprising. Seventeen percent of girls want to be a veterinarian, while 14 percent want to be a teacher. Eleven percent of boys want to be in the military, while 10 percent of boys want to be an athlete or sports star. Also not surprisingly, the vast majority of these kids said that they pretend to be in these careers when they play.

Some of my writings are spiritually Christian in esence. How do I find the right publisher?

Um…you pick _one_ story or novel that you have written, and research into finding a publisher or agent who handles that type of work. You seem to think that what you need is a publisher who will want to publish everything you’ve written across multiple genres. That’s extremely unlikely to happen. As a new writer you’ll need to sell each piece that you’ve written individually. It’s only the very top authors and celebrities who can effectively get anything published just because it has their name on it.

I love to write and really want to create books for children and self-help for Adults but do not have funds to help me. What and where can I do and go?

Hello, I am currently writing a book myself (which I hope wil get published).

Now what may help you is to go to the library and borrow a book which will give you help with writing and the business aspects fo writing. I myself borrowed 5 books at my last visit to the library:

*Zen In the Art of Writing

*Romance Writing

*All I know About Writing

*Self Editing

*Re-writing

And they have all thoroughly helped me! :)

Now you’ll be pleased to know that getting published does not cost a penny-in fact the publisher will pay you! (Around 1 000-5 000 dollars advance!) Unless you choose a vanity press, where they’ll make you pay. But perhaps stay away from them and stick to Harper Collins etc. if your having trouble with funds.

Once you have written a polished and markettable story make sure to check with the submission guide lines set by publishers as to what type of books they want and how many words etc. All this info can be found online.

So my advice is:

*Borrow some how to books on writing

*Write a skeleton for your story

*Write the story in full

*Edit your story and re-write sentences your unsure of etc.

*Find a publisher or an agent (you’ll learn more about them in your writing books from the library)

*And hope your book will get published :)

Good luck!

Hope this helps :)

I might persue a Certificate in Early Childhood Education, but I want to find out more about "the job"…
I live in California, so if you are from California and work in that field please give me your input.

The pros are plentiful…this is working with our future! Kids are fresh, open, honest. They are full of life. The job is completely rewarding and ever-changing. You get to see your progress, watch the children grow and change. You learn to hone your patience skills and you can learn lots from the actual work of teaching them. If you are lucky, you are appreciated by all the parents and you will have a community that supports education.

The cons include that often you are not compensated nearly as you should be, there can be situations that are not pleasant with parents or the school system (as with any profession), you will really have to test the limits of your patience (kids are not like adults who know when the end is near), and you may find raising your own family to be more of a challenge after dealing with kids all day. You have to spend lots of time working on the job outside of the job. In some places, you may encounter some really sad situations as well (abuse, home life issues, proverty).

It goes without saying that it is full of both good and bad. But if you love the kids and have the desire to do this…it is worth every second.

Breaking news of Kelsey’s tragic murder, to the present updates in her case, are provided in these extensive news coverage videos found at the above link.

Kelsey Briggs lost her life before the age of three due to Child Abuse.
It is a Tragic story but one that must be shared.Hopefully Kelsey’s story will touch your heart and you will be willing to step up to the plate and help children who can’t help themselves.

The original song that was set to Kelsey’s Story was “Somewhere over the Rainbow” by: Eva Cassidy
due to youtube’s copyrights issues I had to pick a song from their collection.

Please read Kelsey’s story below…

Kelsey Briggs was born in Oklahoma on December 28,2002 after her parents Lance Briggs and Raye Dawn Smith were divorced.

At the end of 2004 Raye Dawn Smith started dating a man named Michael Lee Porter, whom she met at a local bar.

The first reported incident of child abuse regarding Kelsey was made on Jan.17,2005.

DHS confirmed Kelsey was abused and stated her mother Raye Dawn was the perpetrator due to her conflicting stories of Kelsey’s injuries.

Kelsey Briggs grandmother Kathie Briggs was granted emergency custody Jan.24,2005.

Raye Dawn Smith married Michael Lee Porter on April 18,2005.
Kelsey was having overnight visitation with Raye and Porter even though a court order stated Porter was not to be around Kelsey.

On May 3,2005 Kelsey was taken out of her grandmother Kathie’s care by OKDHS.

Kelsey was put in protective custody because of her broken legs that were confirmed from abuse.

May 4,2005 Kelsey was then moved to her maternal Grandmother Gayla Smith.

Kelsey suffered months of documented abuse.

June 15,2005 Judge Craig Key went against DHS recommedation and sent Kelsey back home to her mother and stepfather.
The judge confirmed Kelsey was being abused and stated,
“Perpetrator Unknown.”

Kelsey was visited by a social worker approximately once every week.

Kelsey’s biological father Lance Briggs was a soldier in Iraq he was undergoing care at a treatment facility for a back injury and was in the process of checking out from his duty in Fort Benning,Georgia.

Lance was schedueled to be home within
a week or two.

On October 11,2005 Kelsey was murdered.
Raye Dawn and Michael Porter were the only ones who had contact with Kelsey in the hour leading up to her death.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the abdomen,it was ruled a Homicide.

Two weeks later Porter was arrested on first degee murder.

Kelsey’s mother Raye Dawn was later charged with two felonies, Child Neglect, and, Enabling Child Abuse.

In April of 2006 Kelsey’s body was exhumed for a second autopsy where sexual abuse was documented.
The Stepfather’s charges were amended to add the sexual abuse.

Porter and Smith divorced after Kelsey’s death.

On February 2,2007 a plea negotiation was entered and approved by the paternal family.
The stepfather plead guilty to a reduced charge of Enabling Child Abuse and received 30 years in prison.
He has no possibility of parole for 25.5years.

Kelsey’s mother Raye Dawn Smith went on trial July 9,2007.
She was found guilty of enabling child abuse, she will serve 27 years in prison, without the possibility of parole for 23 years.

Alot of people failed Kelsey.
Remember her story the next time you think a child is being abused. Please report it, if you don’t, that child may suffer the same fate as Kelsey.
Please don’t let that happen.

With the help and persistence of Kelsey’s paternal grandma Kathie,
a new law “The Kelsey Briggs Child Protection Act” was established
into Oklahoma Law to help prevent this type of failure in the Oklahoma State System.

Tiffany Bjorlie who owns Lundeby’s Ecobaby knows all too well how the CPSIA is affecting what items she carries in her Tulsa shop. She explains how Selecta has pulled their eco-friendly toys from the US market. And toys are not the only items that could run scarce. That sweet handmade dress for your little princess or 100% organic cotton onesie for your bouncing baby boy may be on the “extinct” handmade list as well due to stringent testing that will go into force per the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act on February 10, 2009. AND HANDMADE BABY BOOTIES if not TESTED will be ILLEGAL!
