This article is one of the most awful veracity based and the most realistic researched based article, which I have ever written in my life. This article has created many hindrances in my personal matters too while working for it. Even the research has made me to lose some of my known people, because they think that it is wrong to find about the bitter realities. I work on this article for the social cause and I damn care for others who didnâ??t want me to write this awareness article in order to alert the young generation of our society about this abusive issue. I want to prepare youngsters for their future to deal which such incidents with dare.
I have done 2 years of extensive research on the issue of CHILD ABUSE.
This article is the reality based article, and I have already received many international proclaimed for this research.
I am glad to see lots of audience to appreciate my work but despair to see many who did not trust me when I started working for this article.
I hate child to be abused. I want criminals to be in jail as soon as possible.
Our government is taking no steps and I know few young children who had been abused by bastard abuser and for that purpose, I wrote this article to aware every one about the repute, which has already been lost by many youngsters who had been abused.
May be many people might think of me wrong as I had visited several websites to gather information about child abuse and I also chatted on Mirc channels, in order to trap the accused for finding out the realities. I have talked too many who had just insanely performed such acts and tried to trap youngsters for the fulfillment of their abusive wishes. I anonymously chatted them like an innocent child, talked them on phone, and also met few with lots of security protection of my relatives for me, in order to trap them to find out the reasons.
Itâ??s a noble cause and I dedicate this work for some one who is every thing to me. I know that person would feel proud of me one day, when that person will know that I have written good article for humanity awareness.
What the anguish is the world is doing to deliberate towards solving the major, bitter problem of our society? I.e. dilemma of CHILD ABUSE.
Children are innocent, but it doesnâ??t mean that we should ignore our duty to give them Proper attention. The emotional scars are deeper than the physical scars. Who will fill the scars which are left behind and which could not be mended easily?
I would like to congratulate and would present the award to the United Nation, Child Protection agencies and especially to the social workers, for just sitting and eating donations from the donor countries and for doing nothing to stop this serious major concerned problem.
Arranging meetings, seminars etc on child abuse issue would never solve the problem until and unless governments pass any law i.e. severe punishment for the accused.
I canâ??t solve this major problem individually. All I can do is to motivate every one to just move forward to solve this problem globally.
I would like to give basic awareness to the local public as well as to the government officials, to learn about the basic facts about the major concerning problem of child abuse.
Remember that Child abuse is never child’s fault. Itâ??s the fault of those dirty minds, which are like wild animals.
Child abuse consists of any act, or failure to act, that jeopardizes a child’s physical or emotional or mental health and development.
Child abuse also means to sodomize young male or female orally or sexually.
There are three major types of child abuse:
â?¢Physical abuse
â?¢Emotional abuse
â?¢Sexual abuse
Physical child abuse is the wound resulting from physical aggression. Beating, shaking, kicking, pinching, biting, hair-pulling, burning with cigarettes, scalding water or hot objects, abuse by a sibling/relative etc are all in the category of physical abuse.
Emotional abuse is a prototype of actions that attacks a child’s emotional development. It includes steady criticizing; belittling, insulting, rejecting and teasing are some of the forms these oral attacks can take.
Sexual abuse, which is our main topic of concern in this article, is critically defined as:
Sexual abuse of a child is any sexual act between an adult and a child (either gender). This term is also known as sodomization or child molestation.
It includes touching; kissing, hugging or making them to allow you to touch their sex organs, forcing the child to undress, spying on a child in the bathroom or bedroom, exposing children to pornography (movies, magazines, or websites), luring a child for sexual relationships, exposing children to adult sexuality in any form like showing sex organs to a child, forced observation of sexual acts, telling “dirty” stories, child prostitution or sexual exploitation (using a child to perform sex with others), which is very common in Asian countries, intercourse, incest, rape, oral sex, sodomy or even beyond it.
Sexual child abusers can be: Stepmothers, stepfathers, siblings, or other relatives, childcare professionals, peons, government officers, teachers, or athletic coaches, foster parents, truck drivers, friends, relatives, vagabond, burger boys, rich business man, strangers etc
What are the reasons, which makes a normal person to abuse child?
My research has found some of the factors, which are given below:
Stress, lack of the nurturing qualities, difficulty controlling anger, a personal history of being abused by some one in the past, divorce, isolation from the family or community, physical or mental health problems, alcohol or drug abuse, marital conflict, financial difficulties, for fun and pleasure, taking out frustration, short temper etc.
Child abuser specially tries to trap innocent, young, cute, chubby, shy, reserved, or alone child.
They can use any medium to trap them like giving them gift; inviting them for a cup of tea; giving them rupees or free coupons; threat them; inspiring them by giving them extra attention etc.
Child abusers are very clever. They try to trap innocent on net via mail or chat or by visiting public parks or any area, which is full of crowd.
Some signs of sexual child abuse are as follows:
â?¢Fear, depression, shyness, fever, quietness, shivering, tension, fever, stammering while talking, inappropriate interest or your child could be attention Deficit., avoidance of things related to sexuality, or rejection of own genitals or body, excessive aggression, fear of a particular person, impaired social behavior, antisocial behavior, and difficulty establishing intimate personal relationships, low self-esteem, self-injury, suicidal tendencies, eating disorders; personality disorders, nightmares, bed wetting etc.
Steps to be taken
â?¢If you suspect child abuse, always report it for the sake of the child. Inform the victim parents and call your nearest police station or take the help of Rangers.
â?¢Do not neglect if your child wants to share some thing to you. Always build the relation of trust with your child.
â?¢Do not mentally torture your child. Be calm and ask them the real scenario.
â?¢Never de-motivate them to speak up.
â?¢Teach them from their early age to be aware of child abusers.
â?¢Teach them not to talk to any stranger or passerby.
â?¢Teach your child not to receive mail, gifts, or packages from someone you don’t know.
â?¢Gently encourage the child to give you enough information to evaluate whether abuse may have occurred.
â?¢If the child reveals the mistreatment, reinstate him/her that you believe him/her, that he/she is right to tell you, and that he/she is not bad.
Who can help victim?
Social worker; Teacher; Police; Lawyer; Family Member etc.
Conclusion:
Now itâ??s high time to take action. The life of victim cannot be judged. We cannot conceive the pain in their heart properly. Governments should pass severe strict laws against child abusers so that they could not perform such act ever again in their life.
The issue should be raised in all the Public and Government schools and I would request every one to circulate this researched article to your families, friends, and students etc to spread awareness among them. Your support, act of kindness and adoration towards innocent child will bring happiness and a little smile on their faces.

It’s a common dilemma: decorating a toddler nursery with the right child furniture. Your child’s outgrown teddy bears and pastel ribbons, and is ready for a motif that looks more “grown up” but still retains that sense of innocence. You also want kid furniture that’s as practical as it is pretty. After all, your child’s grown more active and curious. He loves to play, read, and occasionally subject his toys to the loud banging and kicking (“but it’s part of the game, Mommy!”).
Design
The first step is to decide on a theme. Look at your child’s personality and personal preferences. Does he love cars or animals, cowboys or aliens? Is she fascinated with fairy tales or stories of jungle safaris? If you’re not sure, then narrow the choices to two and let your child pickâ??the room becomes more special if he “helped” put it together.
Functionality
When buying child furniture, check functionality and design. The stools should be sturdy, and use non-leaded paint. Look for surfaces that are easy to wipe clean and rounded corners (or invest in plastic safety clamps). Desks should be spacious enough to hold paper and crayons, tea sets or booksâ??after all, this is your child’s “work space”. Special bonuses are shelves or compartments where you can store small boxes for art materials, puzzle pieces and other knick knacks.
Safety
The advantage of buying specialty children’s furniture is that you’re more or less assured that they have met safety regulations and are built for a child’s proportions (at least he won’t tip over as he tries to scramble up a chair!). And of course, the attractive design encourages the child to sit and play. This is his table, his chair, and for toddlers, that sense of ownership is a huge factor in building self-esteem. He is growing more independent, and the role of parents is to provide just enough freedom in a safe environmentâ??like a room where everything is child-friendly. Here he can be left alone for hours, learning to play independently and explore on his own, without mommy constantly worrying that he’ll break something (or his neck). That alone makes investing in specialty child’s furniture worthwhile.
Your Furniture Checklist
Tables and chairs – This encourages your child to spend hours drawing, writing, reading, or engaging in pretend play (like inviting her teddy bears for afternoon tea). Think of this set as the stage for your child’s creativity. With no table or chair, your child will be forced to do these activities on the floorâ??hunched over, or lying on his stomach. This is tiring and ultimately bad for his posture.
Book cases – To encourage a child’s love for reading, books must be kept accessible. He should be able to grab a book whenever he wants to, and then put the book back himself (unless you want to develop the habit of picking up after him each time!)
Toy storage – Toys can get lost or broken if they are left willy-nilly on the floor. The best toy storage should have different compartments to segregate the various items in his ever-growing collection. Teaching your child to organize toys (stuffed animals on one shelf, blocks on another) also helps him develop abstract thinking.
Child Desk – Children need a place of their own to work on arts and crafts or homework. A child desk is a perfect addition to any room and allows your child their own work area.
Buying Children’s Furniture Online
Furniture shopping with kids in tow is about as much fun as getting a tooth pulled. To add insult to injury, with gas prices at $3 a gallon or more, to say it is cost prohibitive is a bit of an understatement. So, selecting and purchasing the perfect theme room for your child is a challenge at best.
The children’s furniture market is the fastest growing segment of the furniture market with billions a year being sold. This has brought about an increase in specialty manufacturers catering to this market segment. Today, chances are if you can think of the theme for children’s furniture, you can find it being sold on the Internet.
Spending an evening in front of the computer searching on kid bedroom themes with your child can be a perfect way to solve this problem. Your child will feel like they are contributing to the family decision-making process while you can easily (and without a full tank of gas) prescreen the selections you show them to fit your needs. Kid furniture should be economical and made of quality construction. It should also be aesthetically pleasing and functional. Most importantly, it needs to be fun thereby, creating an environment that conveys your child’s unique personality and your unique style.
The bottom line is that before getting into the car to go browsing for child furniture, which in your child’s mind is the equivalent to torture, spend an evening with a bag of popcorn in front of the computer as a family. You’ll save money and turn a laborious process into something fun for the entire family and might even learn something new about your child in the process.

Tarzan tickets have been available in many forms over the years, but the latest version of this legendary and timeless story is making big-time waves on the theatre scene. Tarzan is a story of love, acceptance, mystery, trials and tribulations, struggle and almost every other human condition, even though many of the characters in the story are not human. Below we’ll take a look at the story and the production history to see just why this play has become such a phenomenon.
History of the Story
The character of Tarzan first appeared in a book series written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and the first edition of this volume of stories was published in 1912. Over the next 50+ years, 24 different stories appeared on the scene, and the books were popular worldwide.
Over time, and directly as a result of the influence put forth by these books, several Tarzan stories were produced in different mediums. There were Tarzan radio programs, Tarzan cartoons for children, Tarzan television series and Tarzan movies. The stories were different in terms of their specific plots, but the main character, Tarzan, is always at the center of the action, and the theme of fantasy and man vs. beast is always present as well.
The story moved to Broadway on May 10, 2006, when it opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre to much success. The book for the play was formulated by David Henry Hwang, and the music for this production was written Grammy winner Phil Collins. Given demand for Tarzan tickets, the show continues to run today.
The Plot
The plot of the musical follows the story line in the latest Disney movie, and serves as more of an introduction/overview of Tarzan and his life. The setting is 1888 off the coast of Africa, where Tarzan is an infant and he and his parents escape a burning ship and build a simple life for themselves in the nearby jungle.
Soon afterwards, Tarzan’s parents are attacked and killed by a leopard named Sabor, but Tarzan is spared. An ape who lives in the area and has lost her own child to Sabor hears the child crying and investigates. She finds Tarzan and attempts to adopt him, and after some resistance is granted her wish.
Tarzan grows up with the apes and ultimately earns their respect. As he moves into adulthood, English explorers appear on the scene, and this is quite a revelation to Tarzan, who has thought of himself as an ape his whole life. Through much conflict, Tarzan ultimately becomes King of the Apes, and Jane, the beautiful female explorer, falls in love with him.
We’d tell you how the story ends, but you’d be much better off securing Tarzan tickets for yourself and seeing this timeless classic unfold before your eyes at the theater.

Best way to publish individualized childrens story books
You’ll need a good desktop publishing program and you’ll have to buy the premade covers from some publishing supply. Hard to find anyone who does hardback books.
When i graduate i want to study Early Childhood Education but i was just wondering is there any websites or some things i can do so when i study at the uni about early childhood it would be easy for me? i want to teach kids at the KG’s any ideas that i could do starting from now?
How about volunteering? You would get experience working with children, how to manage behaviour, how to build professional relationships with them, etc.
If your child has recently been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, then you likely have more questions than answers about this little-known diagnosis.
This article presents answers to some of parents’ most common questions about Aspergers Syndrome.
What IS Aspergers Syndrome?
Aspergers Syndrome, named for Hans Asperger, an Austrian physician, is a milder form of autistic disorder. Both conditions are part of a larger group of neurological disorders known in the US as Pervasive Developmental Disorders, or PDD for short. The 2 most common symptoms are eccentric behavior and self-imposed social isolation. Sometimes speech is affected as well as gait and motor skills. Your child may also be exclusively focused on a particular area of interest, such as cars or astronomy. The social isolation comes from the child wanting to know everything about his or her area of interest and little else. Conversations are usually focused only on that area as well.
What causes Aspergers Syndrome?
Experts believe that Aspergers and autism have underlying biological causes, but are not clear yet on what those causes are. They do know that there are certain brain structure abnormalities, but do not know why they occur.
How are Aspergers Syndrome and autism different?
Aspergers usually begins later in childhood and has a more hopeful outlook. The child tends to function at a higher level with Aspergers too. Aspergers children tend to be clumsy, but overall have less neurological deficits than autistic children.
How does the doctor know for sure that my child has Aspergers Syndrome?
Diagnosis of most any mental/emotional disorder tends to be one of ruling out other conditions and noting certain patterns of behavior. There is no definitive test for Aspergers, but there are certain patterns, including:
- Significant impairment in social interaction, as demonstrated by: – impaired nonverbal communication – failure to develop age-appropriate peer relationships – lack of shared enjoyment of activities/surroundings with others – unable to reciprocate socially and/or emotionally
- Repeated patterns of behavior or interest, such as: – abnormal intensity of interest in one or two specific areas – rigid rituals that serve no functional purpose – repetitive mannerisms, such as hand or finger flapping – persistently preoccupied with parts of objects
- Significant impairment in developmental areas of functioning (social, occupational and other areas)
- No significant delay in language
- No significant delay in cognitive development or learning of age-appropriate self-care skills
If your child meets one or more of the above criteria, then your doctor may suspect Aspergers.
Is my child crazy or mentally ill?
Aspergers Syndrome in and of itself is not a mental illness; it is a developmental disorder. However, it is fairly commonly associated with the following conditions:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
- Depression
- Bipolar Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
How is Aspergers Syndrome treated?
There aren’t any treatments for Aspergers that will make it “go away.” However, by using a combination of approaches that address the three core symptoms of the disorder (poor communication skills, obsessive or repetitive routines and physical clumsiness); you can help your child live a fairly normal life. It’s also important to start treatment as early as possible. The treatment approaches your doctor recommends may include:
- Psychotherapy
- Parent education & training
- Behavior modification
- Social skills training
- Educational interventions
- Medications, such as stimulants, mood stabilizers, antidepressants, and SSRIs
Is there any cure for Aspergers Syndrome?
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this condition, and children do not “grow out” of it either. It is likely that your child will always find social situations and personal relationships to be challenging. But many adults with Aspergers are able to live healthy, productive lives, although they may always need support to do so.
What do I need to do as a parent of a child with Aspergers Syndrome?
The most important thing you can do is to get your child into a treatment regime early and then stick with it, even during the tough times. It will be worth it in the long run if you take steps to support your child’s progress and help him or her adjust and adapt. You can serve as case manager or coordinator, and try to involve all of your child’s caregivers in treatment as much as you can. You should teach your child self-help skills as he/she grows and develops. Look for treatment and educational programs that address your child’s problem areas. Get support for yourself too. You won’t be at your best with your child if you’re exhausted and frustrated.
Hopefully, these answers have addressed some of your most pressing questions. To learn more, search for information on the Web at reputable sites or look for a book at your local bookstore. Also, talk with your pediatrician and never be afraid to keep asking questions until you get answers you can understand.

When teachers are helping students become independent and skilled readers, many of the turn to the guided reading philosophy. By using a guided reading program, students progressively learn and develop different skills related to phonics, grammar, and reading comprehension. While the primary grades are typically targeted with a guided reading philosophy, it can also be an effective technique to help older students who need improvement. It can encourage skills such as research and information gathering in these older students. When the guided reading philosophy is used to its best advantage, students learn all the necessary skills to read successfully and to enjoy the activity for the rest of their lives.
What Is The Guided Reading Philosophy?
When putting a guided reading program together, students are generally put in smaller groups of four to six children. This team will all read the same book and complete any assignments related to it. It is important for the guided reading philosophy that the book chosen is appropriate for the level of all the students in the group, which is why children may often be separated into groups with similar learning needs. With young readers, teachers may often employ pictures and picture books to aid with comprehension. Attaching the word to an image of the item can help develop comprehension. A second common technique is to look for common letter combinations in a word, which helps the child sound it out. For instance the letters “-at” and “-it” are typical pairings in children’s books. It may be helpful for the child to read the entire sentence out loud, and attempt to decipher the word by its context. In the guided reading philosophy, multiple techniques are encouraged to help children with all learning styles.
Teachers may also discuss ideas such as prediction what a book is about, based on things like the title or cover illustrations. Children in a group using the guided reading philosophy may be asked to evaluate the story, and explain what parts they liked and did not like. There are many other strategies that fit into this type of program. For instance, children may discuss solutions to problems that arise in the story or be asked to predict what they think is going to happen next.
While this group of strategies may seem diverse, they all fall within a guided reading philosophy and are designed to help students improve their reading comprehension. By learning these skills at an early age, they can enjoy independent reading. Parents should learn what strategies work best with their children and use them when they are reading together at home.
For a child to achieve academic success, they need to have good reading skills. The guided reading philosophy is an effective way to help your child improve their skills one step at a time. The better your child learns to read, the more success they will enjoy in their later education.

W. Keleher : A multifaceted individual
William Aloysius Keleher was a multifaceted individual. No, it is no exaggeration, not an over-stretched truth either. It is a completely unadulterated fact. Why would one say that? That is because Mr. Keleher was a unique person who stood out among many with his exceptional work and achievement. The way he struggled his way out to success and fame is truly remarkable. In this article, readers will re-discover the multifaceted William A. Keleher.
Born in Lawrence (Kansas) in 1886, William Aloysius Keleher resided in Albuquerque (New Mexico) from his early childhood where his family (David and Mary Ann Keleher) moved in 1889. He studied in Saint Mary’s Parochial School for some time but ironically, he had to put a brake to studying at one stage. It was the year of 1900 when his family could no longer support his education expenses. The magnanimous juvenile chose to work in order to help his family survive the difficult times. William Keleher’s first job ever was that of a messenger. He worked for the prestigious Western Union Telegraph Company. Thanks to his skills and hard-work, he was promoted to telegraph operator from counter clerk in fairly quick time. However, he was always looking to do new things. As a result, he worked in different places for a short time, most notably the Board of Education and BlueWater Development Company. He even managed to attract local newspapermen with his exceptionally good writing skills who appointed him as a reporter in the year of 1908. Furthermore, he got a writing job in Albuquerque Evening Herald and Albuquerque Journal.
It was during this time that he showed a newfound interest in law while observing contemporary events at a country courthouse. Within five years, he joined the Washington and Lee University’s law school and successfully graduated within two years in 1915. He wasted almost no time to start practicing law in the New Mexico Bar. Shortly after that, he went back to Albuquerque to work as the city attorney. Afterwards, he joined a legal practice with G. Downer which did not last too long. In 1931, he founded a law firm with A. Howard McLeod which was named ‘Keleher & McLeod’. This firm, even after more than ninety years, continues to serve its clients successfully. Today, it is perceived as one of the most prestigious law firms in New Mexico. Keleher also worked as the city editor for the two magazines he previously worked for.
The versatile individual did not stop just there. He was an active citizen of New Mexico and acted as the chairman of its Democratic State Central Committee. The State Board of Finance also got his service for seventeen years. Mr. Keleher acted as a conservator for the first Albuquerque national bank when it was in dire straits. He was also involved in preparing the “MECHEM-KELEHER” report in the year of 1933 which convinced the government to start negotiating with the coal field labors after a strike of great magnitude.
Keleher was the legal counsel for the New Mexico Public Service Company and the director of Equitable Life Assurance Society. His contribution to the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (now known as the New Mexico State University), the Old Lincoln County Memorial Commission and the Museum of New Mexico also signifies his pro-active character.
This article will be incomplete if it does not mention the other side of William A. Keleher the writer persona. Keleher always had a knack for writing and he first showed it as a newspaper reporter. Years later, in 1942, his first book (The Maxwell Land Grant) came out. Following that, he wrote great books like The Fabulous Frontier, Turmoil in New Mexico, Violence in Lincoln Country, New Mexicans I Knew, and Memoirs. It should be mentioned that he always kept a balance between the author life and lawyer life, giving adequate time to both. As a result, William A. Keleher not only succeeded as a great lawyer, but also excelled as an effective writer.
This multi-talented individual passed away in 1972 but he is still remembered today for his outstanding achievements. He was truly a man of unique traits.

Behind the phenomenon of gambling industry, there are definite individuals. The attitude to them is ambiguous. Some people consider them to be talented businessmen, respect them and learn from them. Others, conversely, condemn them. Doubtless is only one thing â?? these people are extraordinary, often venturesome, but at the same time they have business acumen, feel the demands of time, they can correctly estimate the potential of their future enterprises. Particularly such people gain millions of dollars from gambling industry.
Sheldon Adelson
Presently he is the richest representative of the gambling industry. He owns the corporation «Las Vegas Sands», which controls the casino-hotel «Venetian» in Vegas and и «Venetian» in Macao. The life of Sheldon reminds of a classical story about an American dream. The future billionaire was born in 1933 in Boston in a poor Jewish-Ukrainian emigrant family. He had to work since early childhood. He earned his first money by selling newspapers on the streets. Practically without any education, the self-made man Sheldon became one of the best financiers in the USA. While working as financial advisor, he breathed new life into more than 50 companies. Adelson was one of the first businessmen who believed in the future of IT technologies. The international show-exhibition of IT-technologies â??COMDEXâ? was his brainchild. In 1995 he sold it to the Japanese for 860 mln dollars.
The businessman came to the gambling market in 1989 buying the casino-hotel â??Sandsâ? in Las-Vegas, which was earlier owned by Frank Sinatra. Understanding that one more casino in Vegas is trivial and that is why relatively unprofitable, he decides to transform the capital of gambling into the international business center, in order to attract rich entrepreneurs (potential players) to his casino. Within several years Adelson built the business centre «Sands Expo». In 1991 he invested one and a half billion dollars for building the casino-hotel «Venetian». The new casino was targeted not only at players, but also at businessmen who came to his new business center. As many experts acknowledge, â??Venetianâ? is one of the most beautiful casino-hotels in the world. There are more than 4000 rooms, 18 restaurants, a trade center (emporium), and all this is at the background of Venetian channels, with gondolas sailing and gondoliers singing their famous songs. In 2004 Adelson opened the casino â??Venetianâ? in Macao, the first casino of Las Vegas type in Asia. In May 2006 he managed to obtain a permit for building a casino in Singapore, which will presumably be opened in 2009. It is planned that more than 3 billion dollars will be invested into its construction.
At the moment, according to â??Forbesâ?, Adelsonâ??s fortune is 16.1 billion dollars, i.e. he is number 14 in the world rating of the wealthiest people of the planet.
Kirk Kerkorian
This figure of gambling industry can be without exaggerations called the most experienced and sophisticated. He is the living legend, one of the â??fathers of Las Vegasâ?. Kirk was born in 1917 in the town of Fresno (California) in the family of Armenian emigrants. In his youth he was actively engaged in boxing and participated in single combats, but at the age of 22 all of a sudden he decided to quit sport â?? the desire to learn to fly captivated his entire personality. During WW II Kirk became a pilot of British royal air force. Upon returning to his homeland, in 1947 he paid 60 thousand dollars and bought a small air company that specialized on charter flights between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He abandoned this business only in 1968, having sold it for 108 mln dollars. Frequently visiting Vegas, he realizes the huge potential of this city. In 1962 Kirk buys 80 acres of land on the famous The Strip, not far from the legendary casino â??Flamingoâ?. The land at that time cost him 960 thousand dollars. The investment was not vain, approximately at this time there started the gambling boom and many companies became interested in gambling industry. The renowned casino «Caesars Palace» is built on his land, which he grants on lease. In 1969 he sells it, having thus earned more than 9 million dollars.
In 1967 Kirk buys 82 more acres of the â??preciousâ? land and builds «International Hotel», which was the biggest hotel in the world at that time. In order to make the hotel popular and attract potential players, Kirk hires Elvis Presley for concerts.
