I am thinking about joining the military but I am wondering what kind of military career I could have with my degree in Early Childhood Education.

I doubt that there is a Military Occupational Specialty that relates to your education. However, just the fact that you have college education in any field is helpful in the military. You will need to take tests to find out what you are qualified to do in the military. Whatever score you get, you can get any MOS from that level or below. However, your sex can make a difference. Certain MOSes are not open to females in the United States military currently. (Other countries have different rules.) If they are combat related they are closed to females. My youngest son is a combat engineer, active duty US Army, First Armored Division. He can set explosives, defuse a bomb, or clear a mine field. (He just finished 15 months in Iraq clearing mine fields.) There are no females in his unit because it is a combat related MOS. My oldest son served two enlistments as an automated logistics specialist in the Army National Guard. Females are allowed in this specialty. My middle son is currently serving his second enlistment as a cook in the Army National Guard. Females are allowed in this specialty. My middle son recently received a degree in psychology. His degree has nothing to do with being an army cook. My youngest son is thinking about going to college to become a high school history teacher. Setting explosives, defusing bombs, and clearing mine fields doesn’t have a whole lot to do with teaching high school history.

Large military installations where families live with their service member have their own schools. However, the teachers and staff members are civilians, not military personnel. If you were interested in teaching at a school on a military facility, you could look into it, but you would not be a member of the military. Some military spouses are certified educators and they teach at those schools so there aren’t necessarily positions available.

What are the Christmas stories that you enjoy the most or that mean the most to you?

I am a bit biased in my answer, but I have a whole section for Children’s Christmas stories on my website :)

I’ve also been working on some video slideshows with Christmas music and stories being narrated… the audio quality needs a bit of work though (it’s my first experiment with video). But here’s my YouTube channel if you want to check those out as well!

My son is 18 months old and we are raising him speaking both Spanish and English. We have some good stories in Spanish for infants (e.g., Buenas Noches Gorilla, Buenas Noches Luna) but would like to start reading him stories more appropriate for toddlers. We can find a few English language stories that are translated into Spanish, but would also like some authentic Spanish language stories.

I’m in high school, and I’m taking Spanish. My teacher said a classic fairy tale in Spain is Don Quijote. I hope that helps. =)
