Provoked by the debt crises of the 1980s, working children became a common sight on the streets of Quito and all over most Latin American cities. Since this phenomenon began, many programs and centres have been formed to assist these children focusing almost exclusively on male children. In 1989, frustrated by the lack of attention paid to the specific problems confronted by working girls, a group of concerned Ecuadorian citizens founded Centro de la Niña Trabajadora (CENIT). Centro de la Niña Trabajadora (known by its initials in Spanish as CENNIT) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. CENNIT uses educational and vocational programs to help working girls and their families overcome grinding poverty and improve the quality of their lives. The result is generations of working women with the education and skills to form healthy families that contribute to a more just and productive society.

i need to know what the federal government needs to stay out of when it come to Early Childhood Education.

universal preschool-it sould be the parents decision to send their child to preschool not the governments!

Dress codes-freedom of dress for all

No child left behind-to hard on teachers and it is a bunch of bull crap.

I was wondering, can I be a Kindergarten teacher under the Early Childhood Education Degree. I want to be a Kindergarten Teacher, and I want to be under this degree program, but I am unsure on if I should be under this one or Elementary Education.

Early Childhood is the one you want. If you go for the Elementary Ed the youngest you can teach is 1st grade.

I am interested in earning an associates degree in Early Childhood Education to be able to teach kindergarden, however i was wondering if i can do that with just an associates degree?

You would most likely be able to teach kindergarten in a private or preschool/childcare setting. you would need a four year degree in order to teach at a public school as a lead teacher, but in most cases you would be able to work as a teacher’s aide/ paraprofessional in a public setting.

So I am looking for colleges in either northern or southern California that offer Early Childhood Education as a major. Any help??

Information is below.

Can you guys send me links to websites, statistics, articles that talks about Early Childhood Education in the middle east? what people think of it there? do they really care about it or they consider it luxury?

Hi Asmaa. My husband is Saudi and they don’t have day cares or preschools there. Well they have preschools but they are usually run by Western women whose husbands are working in Saudi Arabia. The majority of Saudi women are stay at home moms so there is no need for day cares or preschools in Saudi Arabia. Only 5% of the women in Saudi Arabia work. Family is very important in Saudi Arabia and many of the women stick to their womanly role of being wife and mother. I am not sure about the other Gulf countries.

I’m looking to go to school to in Associates in Early Childhood Education and then I can test for my CDA. How much does this usually cost. I know it varies from school to school and state but I just need an idea. It would be in Oklahoma though. thanks
I’ve contacted a school in my area already but I wanted to get an idea of the cost so I would know if this was reasonable or if I should look at another school

The cost of school tuition varies from school to school.

aside from that. Id recommend you to major in something else. (ie English, Biology, Criminal Justice, Math, etc. you name it!) because in order to be a teacher you need to have a bachelors in something it does not necessarily have to be "Early Childhood Education" plus lets say you majored in "Math or English" you have to take a test to see your strong and weak sides. If you got really high in Science, but you did not major in that, they give you that as a subject to teach. & if by any chance you do not like school you still have more options, not like if you major in earlychildhood, and you dont like it! Well you are SCREWED then!

This project was created to help Indigenous families in Quito who are living on the streets. At the center the families have a place to stay, and their kids can go to the childcare center or school. Wawa Wasi Kuillurkkuna is situated in the historic colonial center of Quito, where the view is amazing and the house is historic and very beautiful. Beside the childcare center and the hospedaje for the families, is an antique Indigenous church where people congregate for weddings, funerals and baptisms. Below the church lies the remains of the very famous Eugenio Espejo.
